GROWTH OF BOARDING HOUSES AROUND THE INDUSTRIAL AREA OF CIKANCUNG DISTRICT BANDUNG REGENCY

Abstract

The influence of the conditions for building boarding houses/rented houses has a positive impact on improving the socio-economic conditions of the community around the Cikancung District industrial area. The existence of industry has a good impact where workers who work in the Cikancung industrial area rent boarding houses/rented houses from residents which can ultimately improve the economy of local residents. The method used in this research is a quantitative descriptive method with a sample of 75 respondents living in three villages, namely Cikasungka Village, Hegarmanah Village and Tanjunglaya Village. In the analysis of research results, statistical tests were used, namely percentage techniques (%) and partial correlation using the SPSS application. The results of the research show that the geographic factor of Cikancung District is very strategic because it has accessibility that makes it easier for workers to work. Where the industrial area and the boarding/rented rooms they rent are not too far away and there is public transportation which makes it easier. The socio-economic conditions of the people of Cikancung District, especially the three villages that were the research points, are quite good. And the environmental conditions around the boarding/rented rooms are quite good too. From the results of this research, the author also proposed a number of conclusions, namely that the socio-economic conditions of the people of Cikancung District are quite good. Income, level of education, number of boarding/rented rooms owned. The values ??that can be drawn from the results of this research for the world of education are being able to analyze each region and being able to utilize the region. And environmental planning can be created with the cooperation of all parties.
